Brown Girl Dreaming: Reclaiming what Grind Culture Stole From Us *Black, Indigenous and People of Color only*

*Black, Indigenous and People of Color only*

we give rise to our futures by way of dreaming, mapping our visions on a shared horizon and moving intentionally towards the sun. in this workshop, we name, acknowledge, and relinquish the many ways that the capitalist industrial complex and grind culture has disproportionally affected BIPOC and our ability to sleep, rest, and thereby open our portal into dreaming.

we will invoke several modalities practiced across time and cultures to bring forward a unique ritual for developing a sustainable sleep routine and moving into the richness of dreaming. over the course of our 1-hour together, participants will be invited into a practice that includes breath-work, creative writing, plant medicine, and ritual practices of the African diaspora, while centering dreams and visioning as tools towards self-transformation, actualization, and collective liberation.

*workshop title inspired by author, Jacqueline Woodson's book title, "brown girl dreaming.” this workshop will include writing prompts from this title.
